The volcano is definitely low-maintenance. It can run for years with no user intervention outside of dumping and reloading. That being said, I find that I get a nice boost in performance after a good ISO-soaking of the screens.

No respect due, really. :D To be clear, I wouldn't want to change the heat-with-anything aspect of the VC. I wouldn't over-engineer this case with precise temperature control (edit: or even a built-in charger) because the VC already has that covered. You may not be a flashlight geek like me...
