    The Firefly 2 vaporizer

I get that you are frustrated. We are not here to try and dupe anyone into buying a device that doesn't work for them. I wouldn't say there are all that many ways to use the FF2, but it does fill a particular role or a particular type of users. I can see how after heavy use of the Volcano and...

Both of mine have warn away plating on that contact as well. It's basically an identical dotted grid pattern on both of mine. Here is a pic of the SS: edit, here is a pic of the TI: I know it looks black there, but its silver-colored. Shooting down a metal barrel is hard! I'm not too...

No issues with the way you conducted yourself. You took a gamble on a new device and it didn't work for you, so you made the best of it and we all benefited. I'm sorry that the FF2 couldn't be more for you.

Right away, I'm having no trouble with cloud production using the all-glass stem. Like I mentioned, I snuck a quick hit of Pineapple Express yesterday. First attempt, with little thought, I just picked it up and hit it at 6 and it was really nice. Great little cloud. Yeah, I read the crap...

    The Firefly 2 vaporizer

I don't think anyone here has represented the FF2 as a replacement for a Mighty and a Volcano. They are two of the most powerful vapes that anyone can operate without thinking. The regular mentions of stirring and taking the lid off should be a strong enough signal to anyone that doesn't have...

edit: awesome 100th post! edit 2: I may have snuck a hit of pineapple express before my next errand. I may have gotten a really nice cloud with exquisite taste using the all-glass stem.

I think that's a great approach/bit of advice and worth noting. I'm happy you aren't advising daily/weekly cleanings with deoxit. Does it have any guidance for reapplication in its instructions?

I've blown into the battery compartment before and no air made it through. I feel like its pretty isolated. I'm cleaning with 99% alcohol. I've done 3 full breakdowns and cleanings to date. I get a lot of black stuff off the threads of the TI every single time. With just alcohol. I think...

My little guy came today! Sweet action on the free 2-day shipping. FCLOVE I switched to a crotch walnut and it is GORGEOUS! Nothing could prepare me for the size of this thing. It is really tiny. Mine has its light positioned inside the chamber on the bottom plate which the heater rises...

people! I'm really starting to like this one! First, that hydrotube is a lot of fun. Its a no brainer for the grasshopper unless you are loaded up with glass already and don't need anything portable. Its tiny and totally stashable while still doing a solid job. I did about 1.5 lightly...

I think there is still plenty of hope for mods to this current design, though it would get rather long if you extend the airpath and fit in another battery. haha! Is that a modded grasshopper in your pocket or do you have an abnormally long and skinny penis? Seriously, dude, see a doctor. I...

That's the conclusion I came to at the end of page 436. Most of the advice from GH and the community is to pull hard. That ruined my mouth for days. It goes to show you that one persons hard, fast pull is a another person's long, slow draw. I'm a persistent and patient fuck. Now that I have...

My Chinese glass friend arrived today (hydrotube). My wife is out with friends tonight. The stars are aligned. Can't wait to see what I think of the GH through a little bit of water.

That's a fun way to look at it and I agree with all points. I love the FF2 experience. The only time the stirring is an issue for me at all is if I want to sit down and sesh a whole bowl. Sometimes being a little more methodical and tuned-in is exactly what I'm looking for and sometimes it's...

This is a party I think I want to join. Mostly because @ataxian reminds me of a real life friend, but the rest of you aren't too bad either. ;) Seriously, awesome vibes in this thread. An affordable device that looks good and has an ideal process for extracting goodies, always ready to go...

    The Firefly 2 vaporizer

@flyfishwino I have the GH and FF2 units and they both behave similarly in practice as far as being on demand and being able to stop/pickup later at will. From these photos and usage, I have a hunch that there is slightly less conduction going on in the FF2. The air heating chamber of the FF2...

    The Firefly 2 vaporizer

The air does mostly come from the front, gets a little pre warmed by wrapping around the glass before it goes into the oven intake around the backside of the bowl. Its then channeled along the coil for maximum heat exposure, circles around to the center and goes up through the screen material...

    The Firefly 2 vaporizer

The first photo he posted is from the bottom. That center hole is not the air intake, but the air path to the bowl. From there it goes through the screen and onto your vapeables. The air comes into the oven through the holes for the leads.

    The Firefly 2 vaporizer

I'm in the same boat. The simplest explanation is that they didn't think it was important to not have air go over solder or at least having a visually seamless bowl design was MORE important. Which is totally fine and their prerogative. I may have a different opinion and that's my...
