DIY 510-Compatible Rebuildable Dry Herb Atomizer

@Pipes the box mod I'm using is an IPV 2S. It runs all the way up to 70 watts, and I've only had it say "too hot" once after a lot of tinkering with the coils and pulsing the power button. In normal use, the bottom of the atty gets pretty damn hot, but it cools quickly. Also, I haven't had a lot...

DIY 510-Compatible Rebuildable Dry Herb Atomizer

Just thought I'd share my creation with the community I've learned so much from. My main inspiration was the Thermovape T1 which I used to own and love so much, but has since been out of production. Also, @Pipes thread about his DIY bulli project provided a great proof of concept for the idea...

I posted in the Solo thread, but I feel like it belongs here, too. Loving my 14mm female GonG from JoDa on my little rig.

When you are inhaling from the long end of the top tube, you use your finger to cover the other end of the tube. When you've taken the amount you'd like, you release your finger to clear the tube of vapor. Same idea as when you pull the bowl from a bong to clear all the smoke.

Thanks, and you can get one from @VaPeD&CoNfUsEd. The "little black nutsack" are the feet that keep it standing up. Yeah... The #5 scraped off in my bag one time. And yes the top tube is completely open on both ends. The back works like a carb.

My steamroller for my solo arrived in perfect condition. Very clean and I love the black accents. Thanks a lot, @VaPeD&CoNfUsEd!

Basically what Bobcat said. The holes in the stem are too large and you'll be eating your product. Also, if your grind is too fine and you don't pack the stem, it can potentially fall into the holes of the oven where it will be lost forever. Just use a medium grind, use a screen in the stem, and...

Honestly, I've tried almost every combination of grinds and pack methods in my solo, and it handles them all quite well. It will work with fine grinds and a screen, and it'll work with whole nugs. My favorite way to use it is with a medium grind, lightly tamped to the top of the bowl. I inhale...

Vapes that require an almost powdery grind packed very tightly are almost always conduction vapes (Pax, iolite, etc). The fine grind increases surface area, and the tight pack encourages heat to transfer through the material to make sure everything is vaporized. The solo uses both convection and...

Well I still don't have the pieces in hand, but I got a photo of my steamroller and gong for my solo and I'm looking very, very forward to trying them out! Thanks a ton!

    Source Orb Pen Vape

Dual ceramic rods will work the best out of all the options listed. Those stringy silica based attys get a nasty, burnt flavor pretty fast just like in all cheap vape pens. The silica doesn't stand up well to movement, dry-burns, and loading thick oils. Also, the single coil models will allow...

I'm not sure who suggested it first here, but I recently purchased 2 E-Nano GonGs for use with my Solo. They work extremely well and I highly recommend them as a PV alternative. I set the screen almost all the way against the oven and I can get a nice 1.5 big hit extraction out of it.

Just convinced a friend to the world of vaping through this open box deal. Pretty excited that this is my 4th vapor-convert!

Sup FC, I've learned a huge amount from this forum and just wanted to share my Solo setup. Improvised WPA from broken bent stem using a Home Depot rubber screw cap with a hole sliced, and a hi temp Solo o-ring from ebay. This is attached to my VB2.0 water tool. I also used a flat screen in...

    Advanced E-cig users and oil/wax, how-to "one-hitter-quitter"

Absolutely. Keeps it all in one place. I never have to worry about needing to saturate each wick. I just melt it into the center and it disappears into the stainless.
