It may be that the iPhone charger has degraded just enough to be shy of the necessary current capacity required for the hopper. I recently had this problem with charging my Pax (group session). It would work most of the time until it wouldn't charge (flashing lights indicating a problem)...

Actually, I'd recently taken to using ISO with the nylon brushes... Especially when the MP is soaking, I will use them instead of a pipe cleaner (that comes later, final steps). The reason I use ISO with them is partly because, using them dry, I find they get gunky from resins. A little ISO...

Well, you certainly know how to post links! :p Actually I have those, and to illustrate my meaning, those brushes lack that "cushion" I tried to describe at the very tip. Imagine a brush that was exactly the same size as a cotton swab, same shape, but the cotton is instead tiny nylon bristle...

I dig the bottle brush idea... I have the smaller diameter "sets" of those nylon things; I've bunched two or three together to fit into the chamber to do the same thing you mention... Can you send a pic or link where you got that thicker one? Another idea, which I can't really imagine finding...

Martini pick, eh? Are they shorter than the dental picks I've shown? @btka , you're wise to wonder about that, and frankly I never really thought about it, mainly because I don't "dig" with it. I just slide it gently and not using the sharp point in any way that would assuredly scratch...

Same here... Sometimes the LED flashes red once (as it should), and sometimes that first flash is BOTH red and blue together, once. I've wondered if that is a sign of lurking doom. When it doesn't flash at all, it is apparently attributed to the fact that USB charging should be with the AC...

Tichilli-huh? I've never heard of this tichillum. Went googling but I still don't understand the "why" of it and the unique shape it has. Looks like some ancient Egyptian dog whistle. :hmm:

I've worried about cotton fuzz when cleaning the chamber, too. So far, for lack of any "Eureka" ideas on how to clean the chamber, I clean it only upside down, and with a damp (not wet) cotton swab. "Q-Tips" as a brand is NOT the tightest swab you can buy. The CHEAPER ones are best, because...

Hey, Thanks, @moondog ! I think I shall go for the ebay sale that @Vapor_Eyes turned me on to. I love this place

Hey Vapor, AGAIN, thank you... I will sound a complete idiot here, since I only own two Ti's... and I know lots of you have posted about the differences between Ti and SS... Would you say the SS is "just as great" as the Ti - and I mean performance, heat at the backend, etc.?.. Hog, I've...

Oh, yyyouuu. I love the fact that I'd never even thought of that. Wow I feel so dumb but I'm laughing about it so it's all good. :freak: Does anyone know if there are there any distributors selling Hoppers in the USA that can get one here before Xmas? I'm thinking to get one for someone but...

Very nice, Steph! A well-appointed set of necessities for a great case... add a small square of unused Blu Tack; it will come in handy. Where did you get the half-doobs? Vapor_Eyes, I'm certainly appreciative of your desire and will to take that time to search for answers from our...

My friend, that is a ridiculous analogy because an automobile has thousands of replaceable parts. The hopper has TWO. Swapping out a fully made car because one has a flat tire or a bad transmission is just a nonsense analogy. And, cars don't have lifetime warranties. GHL has a lifetime...

Regarding the replacement backend I just received from GHL... My grey Ti backend that I have had for about 5 months has not had a backend replacement til now. The body was replaced within the first week. I recently wrote that, after I reported the backend and they shipped the new backend, the...

Thanks, Molten. Makes sense, as you say; the charger isn't measuring current capacity, just voltage, so, it's really no indication of health. Proof is in the pudding, I suppose.

Does anyone have input on how the Hopper behaves when the batteries are on their last legs? Specifically, Can a "full charge" on a dying battery result in a weak hit, even on the first draw?

 Here's another smarty pants suggestion.... screw the marking of batteries.... I work with a set of batteries, and they all - but one - go into the charger together, like at the end of the day, or whatever. I got tired of having to re-mark the batteries because even perma-markers don't...

Thanks, Moon... I'd thought about pointing them to the Fix thread, but I'd think I'll leave that option to our Royal Chronicler, @Vapor_Eyes ... if he so desires, of course.

So as I'm waiting for the new backend from GHL, suddenly the "bad" one is now working flawlessly. I mean, I know you've all had this experience (most of yas anyhow), but this really baffles my head. I wonder if I should tell GHL and like I always tell others, just wait for it to be completely...
