Not at all. The bubbler is super easy to clean. Inside the glass on the base is a different story. It collects a lot of residue, and a black ring of grime will inevitably form just above the rim of the cup that is challenging to clean away. I still haven't been able to completely scrub mine out.

Anyone else's ceramic cup disintegrate yet? Not dropped or bumped into, this happened while it was inside the base. I believe from self clean mode.
