I do the same. I cap on every flower hit. Lets you run lower temperature and really speeds up extraction. I just wish the cap didnt get so hot so fast.
Still wish there was a flat coil version. With most flat coils having a 10mm hole in the middle, getting air through shouldnt be a big deal.
A flat coil version would solve some of the issues of the outer edges getting too hot. I notice this on my Dnail wraparound. The carb cap gets blazing hot...
Not really. It is kind of big but its very stable and thats one thing the 14mm piece isnt. You can see it kind of wobble when you put the SH on it. Blowing on it wrong would probably cause it to tip over.
I have that piece. Really nice. I switched back to my Mobius 60T tho and I prefer that. One is 18, one is 14 and the Mobius has a bigger can. I have one of the dual SOL perc pieces coming that I believe will end up replacing the Mobius.
I believe the issue may be variances in the different joints. You can really see that on drop downs. They all seem to be a little different and Im sure blowers are using those same joints on their pieces. Hardly any glass blowers do hand made joints because theyre very difficult to get right.
Ordered the Seed of Life snowflake piece from CCG. Couldnt stand it any more. Been drolling over that thing for a couple of weeks.
I want one of those plated recyclers next but I havent seen them up for sale yet
Mine sticks like crazy. Every night I have to get it off the stand when it heats up.
I have one of the original hemp wrapped boxes so it may have been improved since then tho.
@NewVape710 Have you considered a flat coil version of the FP? Most flat coils have a 10mm opening in the middle, plenty of space to get an air path through. If the head itself is pretty good size and retains heat the flat coil should work well. I was vaping flower using the Happy Daddy Genesis...
Took my cleaned unit to all the local shops and showed it off. I live in a prohibition state so I've got to keep my interests off social media. Still trying to do my part.
I have the original small box with a lid for my stand for holding the FP head. Ive noticed that when the head gets hot, it sticks on that post. I have to wiggle it with some force to get it to come loose. I noticed last night that it seems like the nut doesnt fit on the base very snugly anymore...
Still loving mine. Been using it daily.
Really nothing to not like here unless you're expecting a fine grind. Does a great job of "on demand" grinding and cleaning hasnt really been an issue.
Pick one up. You wont be disappointed. First electric grinder Ive ever bought that actually works.
