Maybe I'm too worried about air leaks then. I usually try the pull test while plugged with my hand and if I don't have a total seal, I try something else until I do. I have some glass wands and a second TI tip and cap on order to get around this as I wasn't overly interested in wood options in...

Interesting. I wonder what I'm doing wrong, because I get air leaks no matter what I do. That's with the titanium mouthpiece in the fat adapter. No issues at all with a regular silicone adapter.

I don't recommend the fat mouth piece as a primary water adapter personally. I've given up on mine already. I haven't been able to get a good seal with it in any of my 4 water pieces all with 14mm joints. If I do get a decent seal, its so low I need tweezers to get it out again. Just my 2 cents...
