Ya, I've sort of found it just doesn't seem to matter much. The Volcano extracts it either way. I just find the Volcano so consistently powerful in operation that it just sort of powers through whatever I put in there.

I find I can pack it loose or full and get similar results, but I mostly just rip mine at 430 through a bong on a whip.
