I got my 3rd unit (4th back end) Saturday. I'm not complaining though, happy customer :). It functions correctly and the back end doesn't get hot (so far). However, temp setting 1 on the new one is equivalent to level 4 or 5 on the previous 3. I'm not complaining though, oh boy! :) I mean...

A few (billion) pages back someone mentioned having dial temp calibration issues. As in the lower settings (like 1) were acting like the higher settings. Like 1 was really setting 5 or something like that. What was the fix for that?

Sounds similar to what the one I'm using does. Flick the clicker with your hand or lightly tap it, do it when it goes dark. It should come back on then go blue (act normal). Or if you're tapping it while its off it does seem to make it work more consistently, but doesn't fix it permanently...

This one isn't dead, just malfunctions (hot back end + sporadic operation).

I haven't tasted a bad hit under 3. I use very little per load and prob get up to 10 hits a load on 2.5. My sessions are usually two loads and then the battery is dead. The flavor is top notch all the way thru a load. Not qweefy. I haven't had one issue with hot vapor, just a hot device...

I use it dry 95% of the time. 2.5 is my preference. 3 can start to produce the ass taste if you go too long on a load. Under 3 I've yet to experience any bad flavor. It's really nice there. Top it off with a little spoon tip of kief. Flavorville.

Update on the one I'm using. Recent issues have been hot back end (3rd unit) and operating issues when clicking it on (2nd unit). The first click it will go red, then off. Second click is blinking red, then off. It does this for about 4 or 5 tries until it will actually go blue and heat up...

Couldn't agree more. I have a tough time only putting so little in, but it certainly works better that way. Bad back ends DO manifest over time. All 3 of the bad ones I've had started out fine then shit the bed after a week of use.

Yes. That's the only water piece I have. Works just fine. I use it with the silicone tip but it works bare too. Milk city on 4+.

Congrats man. They told me the back ends are supposed to get hot to a degree, just not burning hot (which two I've had did). Good luck & enjoy!

I side with zymos. Think it's backwards. The one I'm using is still functioning properly after a week of use. The back end does get hot about half the time but no other issues so far. Can't wait to get my others (and a Ti).
