I have 3 Ti Hoppers. All work but they are all different. One there’s a little green left but mostly brown, the one I use daily will make a reasonably dark avb and the third is hot and makes medium to dark avb on low and black on high.

No. Not just for the batteries. Clean the threads with it. If you are worried that it doesn’t evaporate well enough do a second cleaning with iso. Iso just isn’t a strong enough cleaner.

Does anyone recall anyone mentioning cleaning their batteries as well as the Hopper threads and terminals? I just had an issue with mine not turning on and/or clicking with no lights or heat. Turned the back end some and it would work so I cleaned up the threads with contact cleaner on a cotton...

Hazmat rules suck sometimes.

I think the problem is deeper than just cleaning the threads. A spray contact cleaner gets inside and actually cleans the working parts of the Hopper.

I even held down the power button and sprayed the inside right full and then turned the dial and clicked the button a bunch. I think it’s dirty contacts in the back end. I wonder what Hopper has to say about using a mild contact cleaner on the back end.........seemed to work for my oldest unit.

Received my third Hopper yesterday and I think this Grasshopper is on meth! On low it is as hot as my other good working one and on high it turns the herb black. Edit: I have swapped parts around and have confirmed that the body of this one is where the problem lies. My other is the back end.

There may be another issue for some......with the long RMA times some are dealing with, are the batteries going bad in wait?

Is 3 bowls or about 15 heat cycles about right for a new battery? I run it pretty hot.

I sprayed the heck out of the back ends of both of my Hoppers with WD40 Specialist contact cleaner and they are both working better. I was going to RMA my newest one as it wouldn’t even power up. A good cleaning and it is working great again.

One of mine was doing that. I kept fiddling with the button and cleaned all of the connections and it eventually started working again. Good luck!

Agreed. Really stinks that such a cool product has such shitty support. I have one I picked up used that works quite well and I like it a lot but I don’t trust it to work every time so I have two more new ones I picked up on a close out deal so I will have a backup for my backup as well.

That’s the old cut off your nose to spite your face deal. You’re the only one that will suffer. If I did that the next day they would start shipping. Edit: Actually my luck would be they would ship the damned batteries and keep the Hopper.
