My ti vortex has arrived. I have a problem, i cant get the tip on. I am trying to use a 7 fin ti tip, most i can get on is half way. I tried the other modern ti tip i had and it seems the same. Am i doing something stupid or is it a problem with my stem?

I also brew but i exclusively brew extract kits. I am happy enough with the results, that i have never tried all grain brewing. Still better than most shop brought beer.
