Lol I use the screen still. The resin you are talking about on the caps comes from moisture. This is my stoner assumption. Like if you have damp bud for instance or if you leave the cap in after turning it off. So you are right in a way with taking out the screen but the capsule lid itself...

You have to dome the screen first and when you put it in carefully you can use the round end of the orange pick to tamp it down then use the pointy end to push the edges underneath the stainless rim of the mighty. And it shouldn't fall out.
