It starts off Ok on lowest setting but after 2 or 3 the flavour seems to ebb away. It's more of a generic flavour/no distinguishable flavour. Popcorn taste I don't get till its on red and 15 to 20 minutes into a session. A lot is strain dependant.

Have found that going 2 up to 4 for a 18 minute session 1.5 auto shut down works better than a 2 to 6/7 12 minute session. If that makes any sense. The abv is more even and the bottom abv blackens less.

Yes the internal rings are snug and don't swivel/move. It must be my angle as I always have the cap in exactly the same position.

Well I took it apart and held the plate up to the light and no visible cracks/light coming through it does have some creases/maybe scratches on the front. Even held a LED mini torch at point blank behind it and no light came through. I'm guessing its either me or I do tend to fill the bowl up...

I think I'm going to take my plate off and look for cracks as it's charring a bit easy. Either that or its my lead hands. I'm sure half the problem with the lighters is reflected heat and they get very hot and expand and contract a lot also.
