FW6 still running great. Major difference from FW5 for those who are asking: - vapor of FW6 is noticeably warmer than FW5. - bowl in FW6 is substantially bigger than FW5. Which is nice. But FW5 wins on stealth reloading. Blowing out the bowl on the FW6 via the mouthpiece, reloading, etc., is...

    Firewood Vaporizer

Got my unit back. Very nice, thank you Marc. Night and day difference. Fixed. Not sure exactly what was fixed, he didn't say, but based on the heater actually getting warm now, I think my heater was not engaging before (at least not consistently). You get an "A." Very fine vaporizer. I will be...

    Firewood Vaporizer

Got this today from Marc: "Yes, I got your unit, fixed it, and sent it back Friday. " Looks like from tracking it will be here today :) Hopefully it will no longer be "finicky"!

Right there with you. Still waiting for my FW6 to get back from Marc. If the FW6 remains consistent with FW5, and produces more even ABV, I would be happy and deem it a slight upgrade, more like just different features.

    Coolest temperature vape

By far the coolest vapor I've ever had is to use a whip and connect your vaporizer to a coil like this. Just freeze the coil in the freezer. You'll get say two or three Evo boils per freeze. It's like breathing cold winter air...

Get a solid silicone stopper. Size 2 or even a little smaller. Pretty sure I ordered these. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B074RJ1TG3/ref=ppx_yo_mob_b_inactive_ship_o1_img?ie=UTF8&psc=1#aw-udpv3-customer-reviews_feature_div Then just use a small drill bit or nail perhaps and poke a hole. Cut a...

    Firewood Vaporizer

I said that after the mv1... it's a hard promise to keep with yourself... but that's okay... step 1 is recognizing the mistake... step 2 of not making it again is just impossible:lol:

Sent my unit back in. The last time i tried using it, it wouldnt produce any cloud beyond a whisp. Mark paid for return shipping, so he's living up to his warranty and I have no qualms. Will report when I get it back. Confident all will be sorted. Sounds like a big difference between FW5 and...

    Drying/Curing HG Gift

It helps to clearly understand what your goal is to get this task done. Wet weed has a lot of water in it. From first cut to final product, if you have 4 pounds of wet herb, you'll end up with 1 pound cured, dried, and trimmed herb. It then likes to stay in a jar, dry enough, so that the...

    Firewood Vaporizer

I can be as critical of manufacturers as the next guy, so please don't take this the wrong way, but here, first, why would he pay someone to beta test when there's a whole bunch of qualified people who--as a whole--will essentially get that type quality control work done for free(?), and second...

    Firewood Vaporizer

I don't need to be compensated. I'm happy to have gotten an early unit. It was obvious there could be problems. Not everyone is having them. The consideration/benefit that I bargained for is a hobby all about alternative medicine, mixed in with a break from my day job that isn't boring, and...

    Isopropyl Alcohol - Dangers?

I use the cheapest, strongest, bottom shelf vodka in spray bottles as a sanitizer when cleaning keg and brewery parts that I dont have time or ability to properly clean and sanitize. Iso I believe is made from wood. It is poison. But also evaporates quickly and completely.

I think if you can hold a deck of cards and squeeze lightly, you will have all the dexterity needed to engage the heater. Loading the bowl requires using finger dexterity, as does removing and putting back the tool and battery.

    Firewood Vaporizer

The pathway of the lower unit passes the suction test. The mouthpiece is not pulled out too far. I am very conscious with draw speed and use a speed and technique that always works on the FW5. No matter how I adjust it, or pack amount and tightness, I'm getting very inconsistent results. I'm not...

    Firewood Vaporizer

Using this more, liking it more, working out the kinks I think. Some comments for people to try and let me know if this works for you too? 1. Use the tool. The tool works. It's nice for loading, cleaning away excess material, and tamping. You can get a micro dose easily by lightly tamping a...

    Firewood Vaporizer

Mostly I was just high and those instructions--a well written as they are--was intimidating at that moment. I will try! The whole screen ceramic combo can be replaced is my guess. It's a small part and a good design. But not like FW5 where just screen can pop out for replacement.

So I've put down a half dozen loads with the FW6 tonight, then pulled out the FW5. FW5 just beats the ever living crap out of the FW6. But I like the FW6, so far, too. Not 100% sure I dont have defect, though.

That's great news @Jill NYC . I wish I knew how to change temps too. I think that's a not being medicated while learning thing... I'm getting good to very good vapor now though: 1. Pack pretty tight. Tighter than FW5, not as tight as pax. 2. Make sure no herb on the bowl's lip before putting...
