It does but I think dental pics are finer and with sharper points. At the moment, I sometimes use a medium/large safety pin for similar effect, just to experiment since I have my nano for less than 2 weeks.

I guess, there's different type of conduction. I'm curious to know in what way is it conduction? Is there an electrical current through the convection screen? Is it the convection screen touching the heating element? Or is it just hot air heating the screen when you don't take tokes?
