This! I use wet/dry (usually 4-800 grit) for steel and glass fairly often; using it wet captures the majority of particulates created by the abrasion, reducing the risk of aerating little shards of death plus- it's friggin precise!

I personally find the EQ to be a splendid contender if you want bags- and it's no wimp with whip mode either. You can also get the Volcano's EZvalve GonG adapter, a DDave kit, and buy a replacement EZValve bag on ebay to open up that airflow and upgrade quite nicely to a solid inline valve...

You could try torching it, I had some success torching my Pinnacle Pro bullets clean; I generally clean all my screens that way.
