LOL. A wise man. Unfortunately I dont think there's any alternative, except maybe the quartz quest by Divine Tribe, but someone made the comment that it had the same hot spot issue with the oil "running away" from the hot bottom surface of the quartz cup.

Not surprised. Saw him in the Triton OS videos and he seemed to me to be a bit unstable, bragging and pounding his chest. I was not impressed. Frankly if I had seen the video first, I probably would not have bought his product.

IMHO, he would do well to solve his current problem properly first. He needs an atty with a sidewall heater to solve the Hotspot problem. Who is this dude anyway? Is he an engineer or a motor cycle mechanic?

The one thing he desperately needs is an atty with heated sidewalls. This would solve his hot spot issue. It would be nice if he'd get his current tech working properly before he develops any more new TECH. With respect, he owes it to his customers IMHO.

Thanks for that info F&V. I was thinking of trying a quartz quest, but I will not bother. Looks like the good souls who are designing these devices need some engineering help. The bucket obviously needs to be heated from the sides as well as the bottom.

Yes, the small syringe filters work great. There may be other ways to remove the waxes etc. but I believe winterization using ethanol is the most straight forward. Does anybody know if rosin made by hot pressing raw herb contains waxes lipids etc.?

Not true, friend. Shatter removes the waxes and lipids either by winterizing or not extracting it out of the plant in the first place. Otherwise the shatter would not be clear and brittle. I'm 99% sure of this, so you might try asking a manufacturer directly. Anybody else have any info on this?
