    Discontinued Hopper io

I guess I drop in here every now and then just to remind myself that people can believe, however inexplicably, in utter scams. And I suppose I have to give the Hopper people credit for successfully managing theirs for so many years. Still, if you're coming to this forum and not getting the...

The need isn't urgent or anything, but I'm just reading through threads now to learn more. Thank you!

    TinyMight / TM 2

I hope no one minds if I ask the experts here about wait times when units are out of stock. I've wanted a Tinymight, but there are always, understandably, issues of availability. Are there any rules of thumb about the period between ordering and receiving, or does it vary with the season? Thanks...

Yes, curiosity about the Finnish contribution is well-founded. I'll follow you there at some point.

    Discontinued Hopper io

I, too, am prone to ranting about this once a year, and I understand those who say "we get it, but you should move on". For the most part I have, but if you look through this forum I've been unsparing in my vitriol on many occasions. The point is that when people consider this device, they may...

    Discontinued Hopper io

Every now and then I jump in to audit this group to see if anything's changed with this company. I won't recount my "war stories", but I promise they're as good as anyone's. The Hopper has been riding on its concept alone for many years (I was a pre-release adopter, big time, way back when). In...

Depends on what you are seeking. The GH has three features that are unmatched: It works by convection, it is extremely stealthy, and it heats up quickly. It's something you can easily carry in a pocket all day and use very discreetly when out of the home. For those three qualities in one...

    Discontinued Hopper io

Your point is taken, and you're right. I was airing unpleasant laundry. And you're also correct that my experience is with the OG, and I've not followed this forum very closely. If I'm wrong about the new device I'm willing to stand corrected. I can only say that I was _intensely_ put off by the...

    Discontinued Hopper io

Inconsistent isn't the appropriate word. In addition to other "war stories" I had an OG Hopper there for the past nearly THREE years. I've asked them about it a bunch of times and they told me it would be sent back soon. Recently I sent them a message saying I want the broken one back. I'd paid...

That was my conclusion. I had been keeping it "tabs up" until I determined that the "tabs down" gave it that large gap, which I found to be beneficial. It also meant I had to raise temperature targets slightly, but because the battery is so robust, that's not a problem. I just switched back to...

Yes, and importantly (to me) the one in the bowl is inserted tab side down.

The problem of material sticking to the diffuser disk is a strange one, and I can't seem to attach a specific cause to it. I've tried different sorts of packing and what not. But what I can tell you is that using the "chamber piece", what we're calling the "screen", on top of the diffuser disk...

I keep going back and forth with the screen over the diffuser disk. It does keep things much cleaner overall, and the draw is very even, but I considered the fact that it was adding another level of filtration to the vapor, and so it may work somewhat at cross-purposes to what we wish to...

I don't think they ever claimed that this was anything but that. This is just the same device in a nice color, with a commitment to plant trees. IOW, I think the Legacy has been a reasonably good seller (good news) and they're just putting more variations into the market.

I purchased an extra set of the "chamber device" pieces and I use one in the bottom (tabs down for best results) and one over the ceramic disk built into the lid (makes for easier cleaning but I don't find it essential). I hope you continue to enjoy it!

No special way to hit it that I am aware of. Breathe in and you're done. Some people report problems with lid alignment. If the lid is open or prevented from sealing somehow, the system doesn't work. It may be possible your unit is defective in that way, in which case I would take it up with...

    AirVape legacy

I have to say that this sounds strange. Could you be more specific? I mean, there are Legacy fans here (like myself) who think it's one of the best devices of its kind ever. That's kind of the opposite of "it doesn't work". I think there's more to this story, no?

They do have a policy of offering updated models to existing users at half price, which is probably their "break-even". Not as good as a free fix, but not every company offers that.

    That is very possible.

You're right about the picture with the basket, that's just wrong. But the lower image that I meant was the animated one, which shows the "chamber component" convex side up. It clearly works both ways, but I'm seeing that it works much better "tabs down". Airvape really blew this in terms of...
