Update. I'm getting pricing on disks to be placed between the ribs in the bottom of the classic against the ribs so that the foam shock absorber doesn't a braid against the ribs. Once we receive them I'll post a plan to make sure anyone that sees this issue, receives a new shock and disk to...

It appears that with time and use the ribs in the bottom of the Classic cut into the black shock absorber and it starts to fall apart. The fix is a simple plastic disk between the ribs sand the shock absorber. We will issue a fix which will include a plastic disk and a black shock absorber...

I agree with you. But our olfactory capacities vary from person-to-person so I guess it depends on your "Schnaz." The new gaskets are made of the same material as found in the Satchmo and I haven't received a single complaint so I think we have this thing licked, once and for all. -Aldo
