I don't think that's the problem, new unit. He needs to lower the temperature about 20-45 degrees. Vape at combustion levels them wonder why combustion happened.

Nice! My Splinter joint is pre 19/19 so all's good. I did receive a 19/19 stem with my 19/22 Splinter Z, but don't use that with the Splinter or Z. I use that stem for my OG Milaana where the extra distance the load is away from the heater helps it from charring.
