@2clicker what Hercules users call a coil is what we call a wick. It used to be a cylinder of stainless steel wool, now it is titanium wool. it tastes clean when wet, the taste is acceptable when dry, can be torch clean, and lasts indefinitely.
just don't leave it in the center console of a...
Your hairbrained ideas benefit some people and hurt others.
My family wealth will be reduced if there is reduced demand for healthcare, law enforcement resources, and pharmaceutical products. I know many families who are in the same situation. Thank goodness we have gotten together to encourage...
The hardest hitting portables, for me, has been direct-entry butane powered vapes. I have only improvised my own using glass connectors (I call it the DIY Vapocane), but the Daisy videos have me piqued.
@2clicker you of all people will be very impressed with the Hercules. I imagine most Herc users can't appreciate the subtle design elements that you will recognize, given your quest to improvise the handheld nail.
You will not need to replace any components unless you lose them while cleaning...
I agree with @Roth that more ejmix is needed, the more plant wax is in the concentrate.
O-pen cartridges use straight PEG400. Pure Gold use d-limonene.
@ollent how are you mixing your ejmix with your concentrate?
@Hippie Dickie with your PID control of heating element temperature, can users vary their draw and get consistent vapor? That is a praise sung of the Evo and Vriptech Heatwand.
If so, that is a very big deal. Do you think log vape owners can mod their rigs with a PID controller, the same way...
"We are back to zero"
@Egzoset it seems a device was mentioned here with temperature control - the Herbalizer. It is not the traditional log shape, but you can set the temperature numerically. I also think the Evo has temperature control, although you can not set the temperature numerically.
It...
It seems to me a lot of you are describing voltage control or power control, which to some extent serves as a proxy for temperature control. Do any of these logs have actual temperature control? Using say a thermocouple and a PID circuit.
Power is an issue. The Youcan Thor is limited to the 15W the 18350 battery can deliver. The Hercules pulls 22 or 28W depending on model. RDA's are limited by 18650 cells and your build - 50W is easy. There are regulated dual cell devices that do 100W to 150W. The Ego platform (the most popular...
