Thanks, @Ipuffusa! I know it's a relic, but the damn legacy software I use for work prevents me from upgrading OS.

    Vaporbrothers VB2

Haha, thanks @vaporbrothers but no need around here! I'm with Vito..when that red light comes on it usually means I totally spaced (read: glad it shut off!) :ko: Is it dangerous to wipe it down a little after use? (not hot but warm so the buildup is still liquid) Could a paper towel leave...

    The Herbalizer

The only time I've ever had to put a 2nd screen on top of my herbs was with a really fluffy batch of Blue Dream—otherwise it would jam the top screen like the 3 Stooges in a doorway. Pack it 1/2 way (to where the bowl widens) or a little more (but not full or gotta stir to get full extraction)...

    Foot-Activated Vaporizer

Right on, @Vapoholic420! So whether you have a music or tattoo background, you might already have the goods to be pedal-vapin'! :rockon:MIDI footswitches are at about the same price point (under $20), and from what it looks like, exactly the same shit (1/4" connector that completes a Tip-Sleeve...

@Ipuffusa, mac app crashes on launch on osx 10.6.8 :( I musta had some moist herbs when I set my temps so high! And the owner of the 420-friendly PC down the street has since moved to FLA...

    Foot-Activated Vaporizer

Wow, thanks everyone! Hmmm, maybe I'm not so crazy after all... Nah! Yeah @syrupy, that was my next thought too! I like the idea of using MIDI gear, because it's simple circuitry, cheap, durable and some people have it already. MIDI footpedals like the one used here simply complete a circuit...

    Foot-Activated Vaporizer

No vaporizers were harmed in the making of this mod! i.e., nothing soldered directly to any vape parts While I realize this may seem like something of a novelty, it may actually be medically useful for people with usability issues. The reason I stumbled on this mod, was that the force required...

Discontinued The Persei Vaporizer for herbs and concentrates.

Thanks, great it will work with the Core! I'm on the list for a bottom adapter to fix the sr74 issue. Though I've only had it working sporadically, the 8/herc/nibbler combo is phenomenal! @THC SCIENTIFIC is the freakin' Thomas Edison of oil vapes!!! Invention begats invention, and G you...

    The Herbalizer

Welcome Josh @Engineer! Thanks for making such a marvelous machine and stopping by here to generously share your ideas with us. I am curious about any herbie-related intellectual property. Are there any patents granted/pending on the software, bulb or microcontroller? What are the implications...

    Foot-Activated Vaporizer

I had this crazy idea of hooking up a foot pedal to a vape! It may not be pretty, but it works. All it took was the 8 vape by UpTech, a regular MIDI keyboard footpedal, and a little soldering... :science:

Ok, so I guess we'll stay here for the 8... The good news is I found a reliable fix for my 8 button, the bad news is I had to bust out the soldering iron! :science: But if you can solder, it's actually pretty simple. The problem IMO is that the button must be pushed hard to get a good...

Discontinued The Persei Vaporizer for herbs and concentrates.

Looks like I spoke too soon—my 8 reverted back to paperweight status! The 8/herc combo was really great when it worked, but for my first w9tech vape, I would've gotten a Persei if I knew the 8 didn't play well with the herc. Didn't they test them together? I'm anxious to learn the ins and outs...

Discontinued The Persei Vaporizer for herbs and concentrates.

I got the 8 firing my herc 74 consistently now, thanks guys! The frustration of reassembling this thing dozens of times finally paid off. I tightened the gold contact screw all the way, then backed it off a bit, but either way it was still tough to get the button to always fire the herc. So I...

Discontinued The Persei Vaporizer for herbs and concentrates.

I'm having issues getting my 8 firing as well...or possibly herc assembly? After I raised the gold contact nut on the top pin and tightened the button's gold contact screw, I got it to consistently fire a 3.7v kiss cart on the shorty tube. When I hook the long tube with 2x18350's to my herc74...

Got an 8 on the way, could someone tell me the specs of batteries to get, as well as a charger? TIA I'm an UpTech noob, but been diggin' a Minicron lite for a week! The Kiss cart is great, but my brand new herc sr74 and I are anxious to take the next step...

Helluva first post & pic @BoroSmith — Welcome and glad you kicked the flame to the curb! I dig my tube from GBD (GlassBlowersDirect.com- Assassin Necktie, $99) and posted this pic. I prefer a closed mouthpiece, so selection's limited. For open mouthpiece tubes, there's the Pinnacle PNWT and...
