What do you find different about hash rosin?

Do you have access to concentrates? They are easier to figure more accurate dosing for edibles. But in general edibles are weird. Consist effects and dosing is difficult. So many variables at play.

Why not press it again at a higher temp? Would be quicker and similar results, I imagine.

Definitely this, plus it’s a lot quicker to just decarb the concentrate and mix into whatever you are making rather than simmering herb for hours.

Factor in the weight of the nail with your piece. I have one tiny banger hanger that falls over from the weight of the coil and banger.

I’ve had a couple presses with a small green ring of oil right around the puck, but I assume those were ones I really cranked down on. I can usually tell when I am getting close to that point, so that might be a good benchmark for me.

So without a guage, is there a rule of thumb for manual pressing to avoid hitting the max limit? How close to fully cranked down is safe?
