I’ve been busy this weekend on the 3 ton Dabpress. Top jar is Jack Herer #8. 6g in, 1.5g out for 25% first press. This was 2min 15sec at 190F. Came out a really nice super citrusy flavor. Bottom left is Jet Fuel. 3.5g in, .8g out for 22.9% first press. 3min at 195F. Nice consistency, but man...

Nice. Sounds like you are on the right track. My experience is similar to yours with doubling the parchment, especially on the repress. Nothing worse than seeing half your rosin bubbling on the plates because of a tear. Do you mind linking to the work table you got?

Here are my recent presses. First pic is Sour Amnesia on the left and Skywalker on the right. I was inspired by @jracerx who posted about leaving the rosin in a jar on the warm plates after the press to get some nucleation. Those two I lowered the plate temp to 120F and let them sit, cap on...

According to the official press log :lol: it was at 195F for 2:15min.

I pressed some Bruce Banner recently that looked awesome and was labeled at 31%, but pretty mild on flavor and odor. It pressed super light colored butter and tasted kind of generically sweet, but it kicks my ass in a similar way - bit of a head trip. I wondered if it was high thc/low terpenes?

I am working under the assumption the rosin that drips has the best chance at terpene retention. As you said, I also notice it’s a hair lighter than what stays on the plates.

Right on. Some of the jar tech stuff seemed too involved for me, but letting rosin warm on the plates after the press seems easy enough and worth some experimenting.

Nice. Never occurred to me to play around with some post processing on the warm plates. What kind of consistency are you getting leaving them to warm on the plates?

I know it’s not agreed upon by everyone, but I swear Boveda packs do something to mute the terps in some herb. I’m thinking about finding another way to bring my herb up to pressing humidity. Any ideas? How about those terra cotta looking things that RAW sells that you can soak and keep in a jar?
