@terarc, @ChippyMalone's technique is much simpler, just check that the spring doesnt dig into the wood on the edge where you're potting the torque. And you guys may want to study how you're opening and closing the vapman to see why it's bending in the first place. I don't know why that would...

I haven't seen those Springs bend back before. I don't think anyone else has reported that either. If you're handy, remove the screws that hold them in place, straighten them, and screw them back in place. You have to be very gentle when you screw them back in. Do not tighten them too hard...

If you block all 3 air holes on the middle section, do you still get air going through when you draw? You can also look through the air tubes -- you should be able to see straight through. Or poke a pin through and it should come out the other side -- into the bowl. Be gentle when you do this...
