This is a tricky one. I use a flanging tool that Rene made himself especcially for the air tubes. I believe that one FC member reported that he fixed one air tube by re-flanging it himself, but I can't remember how he did it. After using Rene's tool, I can't think of what else I could use...

Very cool. One thing. When it cools down completely, put your lips on the bowl and blow out hard. This will force any debris down and out the air tubes. You don't want to breath in any magic eraser and crap that may end up in the air tubes...

I've had that happen to me before and the fix was to increase the flame size quite a bit, fire it a few times, then set it back to what it was. Also purging it should help.

Remember that the vapman is repeatedly being subjected to strong heat and will show some signs of wear. The Basics get charred around the crucible and the Classic's Mica will show some wear as well. The bowl will also show signs of use and no matter how well you clean it, it will show its age...
