I've not had an IH in several months now, and I do miss it. But not a lot. And given that money is tight now I'm just not sure I'll invest $100-$200 in something that is basically a battery powered lighter. I've got a nice table top torch that hold lots of fuel and heats tips up very quickly...

    Discontinued Lil' Bud by Vapwood

I agree, it is too good an idea not to do it. Looking forward to that. And I've got a huge dollop of OCD so I've been a grinder of all flower since I got my first one a decade ago. I have two pretty expensive grinders, but I've ended up liking the grind I get from a cheapie I got on Amazon...

I LOVE this idea. I have mine kind of cornered into one location, but I've got 6 roasting tubes, the LB, and half a dozen batteries that I'd love to have in their own place. I'm way more orderly about my vaping than when I was about smoking, and this would help a lot.

I gave up on trying to seat the screens in different positions because ultimately it's unnecessary. And a pain in the ass. I put all my screens in my Ti tips in the lowest/fullest position. It's quick and easy and they seat securely even if a bit old and worn. If I want to use less flower, I...

@NoitsubmocKcuf my concern with this technique is that when you vape you're mixing oxygen with the vapor, but when you exhale you're mixing carbon dioxide with vapor. I think that's one of the reasons you're getting wrecked. Not sure I want to inhale the CO2. But hey. You're digging it.

@mr899 can you give us more details in how you're approaching your session? Are you pre-heating, if so for how long? You're using the domed screen, but how deep is it seated? Did you tamp the flower into the screen? And is your flower well cured/dried and evenly ground? If you're doing all...

I seem to have found the Goldilocks zone for screen placement regardless of the length of the tube; 5/8". After tamping, a typical 'dose' is about 3/32" thick, maybe more maybe less. I've put in loads as thick as 3/16" for longer sessions. But for the most part my flower is a little less than...

@Bravesst I'm putting the screen right at about the 1/2" mark, I've got it measured and marked on the LB stir tool, and fill it with however much I want and give it a good tamp. What I really love is that I can have a long, leisurely 12+ draw session like I had this morning with about .2g, or...

I have to say that after dialing in the screen placement on these glass lined tubes from @Alan (KUDOS), I am not thinking of the Elite at all. There's just no need. For me. I can certainly see how that's going to be a popular item in the overall community, but man. It's not on my VAS list. Which...

    The Extreme-Q Vaporizer

Thank you all very much. I love the DDave mods I have for other vapes so it's good to know they're a wise investment for the EQ too. Cheers. It'll be near the end of the month when I pull the trigger. I'll check back in after I've filled a few bags.

    The Extreme-Q Vaporizer

I've been doing a bunch of 'research' the past couple of months on desktop vapes. It's the gaping hole in my vape collection. Ultimately it came down to a decision between log-vapes and balloon vapes and since I have an OG Solo and a Lil' Bud Classic I've decided that with a desktop I want to...

I've been using my glass-lined roasting tubes exclusively since I seated the screen deeper, and for me it's just a wow. I've not done anything to the stem-it's still 19/22 with no hemp and no holes and it rocks. I've not touched another vape at home. Don't need to.

@stark1 it seems like a high risk for combustion when you pack those like that. What's your experience with actually using them? I have some boro glass tubes I could cut down to size and I have a tamping tool that would fit. It just seems like you're making rosin with flower, and I'd never just...

    Discontinued Lil' Bud by Vapwood

Mea Culpa I got my @Alan glass-lined 4" roasting tubes about 10 days ago. They were both equipped with screens seated 1/2" into the tube and are the 'resting' spot for the glass tube to sit on. And I have to admit that I thought that was the screen's only purpose; support for the glass. No way...

I agree. It's a simple device for a highly complex system. I'm finding that how well the material is cured is huge. Too wet and it's hard to vape, too dry and it's easy to char/combust. I've taken to putting everything I get into airtight jars with a 62% Boveda and getting most consistent...

    Discontinued Lil' Bud by Vapwood

I've been experimenting going back and forth between my 2.5" OG stem with a 12mm ID with my 4" long glass-lined tube with a <8mm ID. I end up getting more of a sipping session with the long stem narrow ID and a Homer Simpsonesque drooling thick vapor session with the short stem wider ID. I...
