If you still had the v1 top, thats probably the issue. Those tops weren't made for the Hercules & it likely burned your top. I suggest waiting for the new tops to come out, then getting the repair service.

The best solution I've found for this is to take a couple of hits prior to loading to get it warm. After the cap is heated, it screws right off no matter how much oil is in the threads.
