Can anyone recommend a good mod for the Splinter? I'd like something that can be used like a regular vaporizer, where I set the temperature and get consistent performance without charring/combusting, preferably something that is compact.

This might sound like a strange question but can anyone with a good sense of smell/taste comment on whether this unit emits any kind of plastic/silicone or any foreign aromas when heated up with an empty chamber after a good cleanup? I'm pretty sensitive to those kinds of smells in vaporizers...

Dude, have you even read my reply to your previous post? I am not talking about the mouthpiece, but about the air intake. That is - the bottom of the vaporizer where the air is coming in to the chamber. There is no "cold" part in a small portable vaporizer and everything gets heated up...
