Yes, I think you are getting plenty of cycles out of it. It's just the battery indicator that's faulty, this small issue has come up with the newest M1Dxxx & M1Axxx serial numbers. I have not read about anyone dealing with the warranty for this issue, but iIm sure it could be done. IIRC...

Those are just black rubber... I would get some made out of Silicone or Viton just to be safe, they are made to take the heat (rated to 400 F or more). I'm using a size -113 silicone O-ring, works great. Silicone is a little softer than Viton, so the stem may slide a bit easier with the Viton...

I recommend you pre-grind, I hate grinding on the go. An air-tight container will keep your herbs fresher than any storage grinder. Carry a small 2 piece for "just in case" if you feel it's necessary. Just my :2c:

Yes, these batteries can put up with charging in-between every use. They do not like to be fully drained, you will get more life out of them if you don't let them die completely.

Adding wires and a switch (resistance) to such a small power source would drastically reduce performance. I remember a discussion about this in the MFLB thread.
