@Spike11552 -- I'm a happy BB9 user -- it works great with the FW7 once you figure out how to plug the carb hole. It also helps quite a bit to cut down the glass adapter straw (Marc sells extras) so that you're using it in the retracted position. That way it won't be trying to collapse on you...

Firewood7 vs Tinymight cooling in portable config?

Yep I second what @Shit Snacks said for the FW7 - large loads or small, absolutely no stirring necessary. The oven is pretty much self cleaning too - dump it while hot and blow back through the stem and you’re done.

Firewood7 vs Tinymight cooling in portable config?

I don't think it's been mentioned so far in this thread, but the FW7 is excellent for micro dosing. I usually only load enough to cover the screen -- about .025-.03 grams and get excellent hits and even brown ABV. Temp stepping even with such a small amount yields at least one fat hit on each...

@Jason Mendoza - I’m not sure if they have Harbor Freight stores where you live but they sell generic Pelican style plastic hard cases (the kind people use for firearms) for around $20. They’ll hold a device, extra batteries, grinder, ABV container, tools, and a small water pipe all in foam...

@DryBonesufo -- this is more of a case than a sleeve, but it is cheap and a good fit for the FW7. There is only room for the device itself, no space for extra batteries or stash, but will protect it well when tossed in a bag or backpack...

@Jason Mendoza - you shouldn't have to worry about combustion -- especially once you get the hang of your draw speed. The oven is very stable - it doesn't run away and over temp. The only time I ever came close to combustion was a little scorching around the edges from conduction when I didn't...

    Firewood Vaporizer

Yes @Shit Snacks I do always clear my hits thoroughly and dump right after use. and use mostly lower temps and micro doses. All probably reasons why it stays pretty clean. Also, the reclaim was warm when I scraped it out. My ceramic parts are mildly stained brown but not at all sticky. Thanks...

    Firewood Vaporizer

@Shit Snacks - I never considered how orientation might affect how quickly it gets dirty. I hold mine basically every which way I feel like and I’ve never cleaned the chamber beyond just blowing back through the stem. It’s been in daily use since early Janusary. The screen is spotless. I just...

Yes @ezpz - good point about the stem retracting when using a master adapter. I forgot to mention that I cut a spacer to fit over the straw and keep the stem from retracting. My final one is brass tubing but my first one was just cut from the barrel of a plastic “Bic Stic” pen.

I don’t have the WPA and I’ve never felt like I needed it. You can easily use a silicone adapter (like Sneaky Pete’s master adapter) on the included Hula stem for water pipe use. The FW works just fine in a vertical orientation if you lightly pack the load. My personal preference is to use a...

Regarding the stem discussion from a couple posts back - thanks for your review/comments @ezpz - I wondering if anyone has come up with a solution to dealing with how the variance in outer diameters makes some stems loose in the channel? I mostly use a Hula stem which the felt grips nicely, but...

Welcome to Fuck Combustion...Tell us about yourself here!

I haven’t seen that @Mr. Me2 - I’ll take a look - thanks! Dang VAS... I haven’t even had my Ed’s Woodscents log for a week yet - is it too soon to window shop?

Welcome to Fuck Combustion...Tell us about yourself here!

I don't usually do these "introduce yourself" type things, but I need a few more posts so I can unload some things in the classifieds... So here goes -- I'm about to hit the wrong side of 50 years old, and I live with my wife in the mid-Atlantic region of the US. Medical MJ is legal in my...

First Vaporizer: which according to my preferences? & some question.

@Tabris, I understand you just fine. It's certainly the responsible and practical approach to try to get one vape that attempts to meet all your needs. I hope you find what you are looking for! I enjoy having a small variety of different vapes to choose from and I am fortunate enough in life...

First Vaporizer: which according to my preferences? & some question.

@Tabris, since you like a long slow draw and very smooth hits you may not like some of the newer more powerful portables as a starting point. Maybe an older used Pax or Firefly could be a good match for your preferred technique and low budget. Then as you get used to vaping if you crave...

Add cream or whole milk to tea or coffee and use your glass stem as a straw to drink it. The fat is the key - you need cream or milk like shitsnacks said - hot liquid alone won’t do it. Nice way to start a Saturday or Sunday morning!

How did you cut down the glass tube? My first FW7 still has the long glass straw that I will never use -- I'd like to cut that down into small pieces to use with different stems. I have a diamond wheel for my dremel that will cut glass according to the package -- can I use that dry or should...

I completely forgot that the BB's have a carb hole -- good tip on using the felt to block it -- thanks!

Several pages ago someone suggested using nose/forehead grease (sebum) to polish the FW7. I absent mindedly rub my FW on my forehead and then polish it with my shirt tail pretty much every time I use it. It’s got a pretty good sheen now. My wife is so disgusted by this that she won’t use it -...

I believe Jonathan O’Connell makes the Inception stems and J-hooks himself so I don’t think you would’ve found one from another retailer. I’m not buying an Inception stem until he offers a 3” one that will fully retract. That Mistvape beaded stem is on my list too - the 75mm with no mouthpiece...
