I am worried about whether or not they used glue to attach the silicone. I imagine it gets at least warm in there from the battery and I dont want glue melting or the smell of glue to get into my wax

Can you tell if the silicone in the wax container is glued on ? That's one thing I worry about don't want glue in my wax
