    (ABV) Cannabis Salve

You might find these interesting. This lady is making an infused oil to rub on the skin. Part 1 she covers how to make it. Part 2 is how to apply the salve/oil. part 1 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=29s2F7_dosA part 2 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cnEfDwwElwU

    Using ABV

Is ABV worth saving? Absolutely. Assuming you have an infinite supply of ABV, I'd try everything and wouldn't just stick to one method. But then I like variety. It's like asking which do you like better Cake or Pie? I like both :) Alcohol tinctures are nice because you can evaporate it...

Help with picking a new Vaporizer

Why would she want a vapexhale when its not even available and its almost twice her pricepoint? I don't understand why everyone is pushing a vaporizer that is vaporware at best. When you can purchase it, suggest it. To stay on topic, check out the Magic Flight Launch Box or check out the Da...

Swamp Water / Golden Dragon a use for your abv/avb

I have about 2 good doses of that tincture left. I made it right before 4th of July for a Phish show. I've been saving those last 2 in a dark place for a music festival next month. I hit dry times at the end of August so I don't have any ABV to play with. :( After the peppermint failure...

    The recipe box, with pics!

I try to calibrate my dosage per gram. So if I use 35grams of ABV I'd try to make 35 cookies/brownies/pieces of fudge, etc. I always bake with my butter. I haven't tried just eating it plain, mostly cause a friend of mine ate some on a piece of toast and said it was pretty vile.

    Vapor-Water

I'm more interested in the oil than the water. Another method to get the goodies out of the water is to pour it through a very fine mesh or strainer. I've often wondered if I'm leaving goodies in that water. I imagine the oil stuck to the glass is a lot like wand hash. For my piece, to get...

Swamp Water / Golden Dragon a use for your abv/avb

I ruined a batch of mine using peppermint extract. But I used the full 1 oz bottle of peppermint extract since it was like 189 Proof alcohol. I put it in hot tea. It's about the only thing that makes it palatable.

How do you collect the oil? I assume with ISO?

Watercuring ABV for use in brownies - a pictorial from start to finish

If your objective is to reduce the taste of bud, rather than water-curing, you could also do a quick wash with everclear. Or even do it 2 or 3 times. Then pour that into your warm butter/oil and evaporate the alcohol. It will save you time and you don't risk losing as much of the goodies.

    Vapor Brownies (ABV Cannaoil)

I imagine it's because salt is abrasive and help get off anything "stuck" to the plant material. When I used to combust, I'd use salt when cleaning my glass to get the stuff that wouldn't come off just from soaking in alcohol for the same reason.

    Vapor Brownies (ABV Cannaoil)

I did my batch this past weekend. They are okay. I could not find any schwag, so it's all abv. They are okay but not as good as previous batches. I blame the lack of schwag. It will be a while before I can make more as I have hit dry times

Swamp Water / Golden Dragon a use for your abv/avb

I have. Actually my first attempt at qwiso, I used everclear rather than isopropyl. I figured if I messed it up I could cook with it without worrying about evaporating off everything. Since then, I have read that sometimes sugar in the everclear may not get evaporated out, which is why iso is...

Swamp Water / Golden Dragon a use for your abv/avb

A water bath just seemed like a lot of extra effort when you could just leave it out for a day our two with no effort at all.

Swamp Water / Golden Dragon a use for your abv/avb

I hope this isn't too late, but I would not do a waterbath. I'd just evaporate it down. Your problem got me thinking about controlling dosage. For a fresh batch of swamp water, I was thinking if you evaporate it down to a muddy sludge like consistency. Then to get it back in liquid form...

    Vapor Brownies (ABV Cannaoil)

So I've been leaching for about 10 days so far. I got everything ready but realized I only had 1/3 cup of duff. So I've been using my oil jar as my abv jar and I just keep adding to it. In about 2 more grams, I'll let it sit for another 4 days and then make my brownies. I took a taste last...

Watercure - A journey from schwag to 'not bad'?

I'm just trying to understand why you'd watercure AVB.

So someone mentioned they watercured abv. Was this for cooking purposes?

    Vapor Brownies (ABV Cannaoil)

Buck, I wouldn't strain it. I'd store it in a dark cool place like a kitchen cabinet or if you are worried about it going rancid, keep it in the fridge. When you are ready to cook with it, give it a smell check. If it smells rancid or rotten pitch it. Otherwise, cook when you can. Last...

    Vapor Brownies (ABV Cannaoil)

So, thanks to herbgirl, I've been reading about herbal oil infusions to try to figure out the best oil to use for the leeching and vegetable oil is okay but a lot of herbal oil infusions are done with sunflower seed oil. Be careful with peanut oil and olive oil. Apparently those can go rancid...

    Vapor Brownies (ABV Cannaoil)

About how many grams is a 1/2 cup? I wonder if you could just put a 1/2 cup of oil in a jar and let your abv hang out in there until it weighs what it should with a 1/2 cup oil and 1/2 cup of abv and then let it sit 4 more days. I've played with Butter and Grain Alcohol before. I threw...
