My impression /review of Shellshock and Tectonic. Both have a great feel in the hand. Nice bulk. I'm a single flame torch guy. So, I need something to hold onto. As a comparison, I cannot spin my Simrell Vortex 'shorty' (M length) very easily. It's too thin and light. But, both the Shellshock...

@StringTheorista Well, there ya' go. Thank you. Break out tools. Aw, snap! That's why there seems to a noticeable (to others, not to me) in airflow difference between old / new. I thought the captive was just a good ol' cap with a little indentation. I did know they were actually DIFFERENT...

Stupid question... Why would there be any airflow difference between captive / non captive caps? It's the exact same size opening. Right? The only difference is shape. Are you saying it's like pinching a hose to make it spray harder as opposed to just letting water flow freely?

RE: captive caps I prefer the old, non captive cap. I never had a cap fly off or fall off - once. Ever. But, once DV 'fixed' a non-existent problem they introduced an entirely new, much bigger problem - the rattling, noisy, loose annoyance of a captive cap. (btw - I see no airflow difference)...

+1 on the filters. When I'm feeling fancy and have lots of free time I do the @Squiby filter of hemp fiber spiral discs. You can drop the used filters into stem milk when you're done. Tastes exactly like you'd expect it to. So - not recommended. @mccringleberry on second thought (after...

@whatitdew I have a Simrell Vortex shorty, all Ti (no wood). I think the spiral intercooler collects resin, reclaim, goop - whatever you call it faster than a standard M condenser. It's part of the reason I've been reaching for it less and less.I don't want my cannabinoids sticking to anything...

I prefer SS tips over Ti Also, anyone that's got some money burning a hole in their pockets should really consider a low temp cap. I've heard folks mention killing a bowl in 2 or 3 heat cycles. Not me - I wanna make each load last as long as possible. Low temp caps add at least 2 and sometimes...

@Zoltani yeah, what @TommyDee said... An old beat up cap is gold. As long as it clicks - go for it.

Nah, the o rings weren't rolled on the 7fin, just tight. Did great on the Hydra stem, but had to do a twist insertion. Oh, the nose thing I 'picked' up from Troy, the TY guy. Works fine for me, I'm Italian - I can lube anything on most parts of my body at any time (insert creepy laugh here).

Yes. And no. You'll recieve a complete and functional vapcap. The parts might be from an '18 a' '19 or a' 20 M. The SS parts are baked in an oven to add some anodizing and 'patina'. The parts are functional and working but do not represent the ideal functionality. They failed the quality...

Dude, you never heard of the Pygmalion tip? It's amazing. Beyond your expectations. The effect mostly, more than the actual tip. Edit: had to add this. This is an epic post. I finally managed to know something @stark1 doesn't.

Which are your prefered nicknames for Cannabis?

I'm 48 years old. Never used cannabis ever, not once, 'til 2 years ago. I never had the need or want. Now, I'm a medical user. I have Primary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis. I live in a legal state, Colorado. My family and I almost exclusively use the word cannabis. I think 'medicine' is...

RE: Screens. I routinely microdose at 1/2 bowl. (.05 bowl cracked me up) I (personally) cannot adjust Ti screens. I ordered 4 packs of SS screens and use them in the Ti and SS tips. I only clean with stem milk method or occasionally with iso. Works perfect. BTW - flatten screen with 2 pennies...

Yeah, what he said: purge. Or the gas could be just too high. Try turning gas to off. Then creep up on just the minimum needed to get your consistent flame. Your issue is exactly what I had with a scorch torch and someone suggested turning the flame waaaay down. It worked for me. I know it...

@Vapefanatic Did the cap with the ding perform normal? Also, what IS your heating style? And, by the way... your name is perfect vape 'fanatic'. I love it. Dude, you inspired me look more closely at the top of my caps - they're beat to holy hell. It looks like they've been stored in a tool box...

I found an old vape cart with some juice., charged up an old battery and took a nice few tokes. Then, I'm waiting.... and waiting... and waiting forever for the damn click. Yeah. Then, moments after realizing my error I proceeded to fire up my lighter and started heating up my battery. Damn!

Just got an Omni a few days ago. Gotta say, I waited waaaay too long to buy this. It should have been my first VapCap. Love it. We have the Assassin, the Vortex, the Shellshock - pair an Omni with the new $77 tip and call it "The Gouger".

+1 I'm real interested in this. When I go to the Simrell website it's only "out of stock". Is there some other place to buy these?
