Neat, I temp stepped a .04 g to .06 g in a range between 316 f to 388 f in three to five hits. Then I went down the draw length rabbit hole which settled down to 16 to 20 seconds depending on which temp step was involved. For a device I use a PID controlled ELEV8R with a wooden adapter that...
A littler meat for the stew, how many hits are folks getting from their small dose loads? In my case I can get two or three hits out of a .04 g to .06 g load.
I don't know what a microdose is. There are so many definitions around that I stick with actual weight. With the current batch of homegrown and a modded ELEV8R it's between .04 g and .05 g
I have been using the same container of ISO for over a year, and it's never failed to preform in its role as a cleaner. Granted it's some nasty looking stuff and I have to rinse before it evaporates and leaves a film, but it is still working.
Is it OK to use regular cotton balls? Or do I need special cotton? ... Depends on the cotton ball, cosmetic, laboratory and industrial ones are all different. My preference is for degummed hemp fiber (DIY or commercial) produced specifically for the purpose, it departs less taste to the hit.
Think digital temperature controller and monitor, currently all the rage used for injector vapes (back box in the photo), it's my first PID and I really enjoy the improved real time feedback it provides.
Seventy plus guy, handful of vapes of mostly desktops, victory gardener, down to .04 g to .05 g a day except for party days. At some point I will probably flip back to my usual .45 g a day but for now I am enjoying my first PID vape.
I like the vendor and some of his products, but his glass pieces tend to be a bit fragile. For a j-hook something adaptable, robust and reasonably priced is a good place to start. I use this one as my daily use piece, if I want a longer vapor path and/or water I pair a small globe and a long stem.
