Thank you! Now some tuff decisions to be made. Basically the b1 is just removing the chimney portion…well and the dish lol.
Not really a tuff decision, the b1 is already in my cart
Thank you @The Stray Fox for the testing updates. Care to share an underneath picture of the b1 head?
I broke my personal promise and tested 4mm rubies over the weekend. Well, that and then a combination of 3 & 4. Tonight it’s back to OG Baller with 3mm rubies. Still cannot fill the...
Dusted off the DCup/Sapphire today for some memories. Don’t get me wrong, it is more efficient and tastes great…but the Wand has been a total game changer for me. I’m not a torch god so it’s makes those quick dabs so convenient. Maybe too convenient.
Love those glass bowls @Bad Dog. Have the 14 and 18 myself.
Ok. Final setup for me will be OG baller, 3mm Rubies packed between two 5/8 screens (only filling the chamber), topped with the sic dish and baller nut. Tried the sapphire dish and filling with rubies to the top but couldn’t see...
Added the baller top nut today. Filled to the top with 3mm rubies and screwed on the nut. Performance went down along with open air flow. My thoughts are those beads in the top tube aren’t heating as much as the mass below. Airflow was quite restrictive also not allowing big pulls. I’ve...
Edit*
HOLD UP! Omg. You are correct. Cleaned it up an turned it upside down and boom. There’s a little clay lip that makes a SCARY shadow.
Whew, back to the whip I go. Did I mention how much I love this thing with a whip.
Mine came today too. And yes, it’s been in testing mode for a few hours now lol.
So far pretty much the same as the OG baller. Nice.
Here is what “may” make me use the OG over the screened. The screen. My luck, it will somehow dislodge and little 3mm hot rubies will be bouncing...
Can recommend and confirm this as a whip attachment for the VB. Fits perfectly in the top. I used a glass 14mm StickyBrick whip attachment pushed in the top.

That missing top plate of the head must have been heavy.
Excited to try my new baller but the weight is dramatically different. 32 grams vs 19 grams for the new baller.
The holes at the bottom are more narrow also, tighter and less circumference. Seems to fit just a tad tighter on my v2...
Have had consistent and satisfying morning sessions with holes open…well sorta open.
Two holes are covered while holding and then some slight back and forth while hitting to open those. If you have time, such a great ritual to start the day :myday:
For the sake of evolution and experimentation I am happy to see CH trying new configurations.
It’s hard for me to upgrade when I continually catch myself saying, “Damn, that was a good one.”
This month marks my 1 year anniversary with the vrod. It and the DCup make a super solid desktop...
