Do a heat cycle and don’t hit it. Unscrew and take a look. Then screw back on and act like nothing ever happened. Seriously though. This is a great way to check initial conduction/convection. Edit- And yes a Walnut futo is on the way too. With a “fox hole” hehe

This first day or so will be experimenting. Once you get the suggested time down it’ll become second nature and intuitive for flame length. My biggest suggestion is to STOP AT THE FIRST CLICK lol.

@par337 mine HAD one. I’ve read it’s for cooling and collecting. My experience was that of definitely collecting. After the second or so cleaning it went in the parts drawer.
