You can use double sided tape, contact cement or simply a couple small drops of crazy glue. Just align the hole for the wires. I mounted it on via a connector for easy connection.

Those are actually the ones I now use on the Portsides. Looks very nice when mounted.

Well done! :science: The DC cable can be pressure fit from the inside with the correct diameter hole. If it ends up too loose, a dab of glue on the inside will firm it up. Your hole will need a washer or spacer of some kind now. Or hide the current hole with the gauge and make a smaller one.

Nice, very nice!!! So I put together a video of how to remove and insert the height spacer. @goodpunk6, I'm afraid your best option is to get a friend over with a big roach clip.... How do you live without tools? I'd die. Careful not to drop the small pieces, if your like me that stuff...

Good answer @Derrrpp! :lmao:I like it. Got some work done today. Have most of the coil modulars attached to the drivers ready for finial assembly. Still need to drill holes in the enclosures for insertion tubes but rear panel holes are all drilled and populated. I figure these Portsides will...

VapCap Induction Heater for Desktop and in Car Use

Naw, never noticed anything different myself. But never really purposely tried and measure. Insertion depth is the key. Not deep enough - Hot tip and symptoms as mentioned in a couple posts. Too deep - Will trip current protection in JH power supply. Also, heats above the stem causing...

Adjustment only as last resort. @MonkeyTime posted here asking basically the same question. Have not heard anyting further so I assume all ended up good for him. Any update @MonkeyTime ? Did you end up adjusting or find a technique change? TIA.

Dang it, that was a hell of a one hitter in your vid!!! As said, keep herb away from touch cap. Also, could be the herb and/or technique. Try as is for a bit, and if continues this pattern, adjusting the insertion height will be the solution. :science:

You need the one I sent. Most other ones that I tried can't take the surge. BTW, the first one posted was the charger for portables, not the supply. Second picture is correct. I know the rating states 5 amps but it does a better job than 6 amp supplies I've tried.

Hmmm, :hmm: Has this developed over time? First check the glass hasn't physically moved in the coil. This is also a way to adjust the position of heat transfer. In some cases easier...? Either way, it's the coil position in reference to the VC. If it stops working and the power supply light goes...

VapCap Induction Heater for Desktop and in Car Use

If it's running good. do not attempt it in case you run into trouble. Specially with the JHs as if penetration is too deep you may start tripping the current protection in the power supply. Also, can cause too much heat to the upper part of VC which is more or less wasted. You know what they say...

I like the Tin can. If you don't have a hole punch and plan to drill, sandwich the top between two pieces of wood before you drill. Clamp it tight and then drill the hole. Else the top will end up looking beat up. :goon: I can relate to the wife wondering why your looking at weird stuff...

Kinda looks like BamBam Brown from "The Alaska Bush People" to me... Pushing the portability to the extreme. @stickstones , check this fanny extreme out. Be great for all those nature walks you go on...:lmao: Looks like it was a great party!

You are correct that the magnet is under the lid. Only strong enough to keep the VC standing easy. I was doing this because it hides the fact that the VC is going to the side of magnet as currently being discussed. I have tried about 5 different sources for magnets now but haven't hit the...

I wouldn't say not urgent at all. It's a high priority in my books. The mains power cord is not the best. I'd say, it's that connection that's failing. It does really needs to be pushed in hard as feels tight when it's not. And the delayed power indicator light doesn't help matters. It is a...

Hey Skeletor owners, I just found a good possible container for this unit. Seems a google search for "wooden pencil box" yields some very interesting prospects. As long as the inside clears the 65mm square, they will work great. Flip upside down and drill the hole for the glass stack and make a...

Thanks, was not aware they were so strict about that stuff. I tend not to use the word "vape" in any descriptions but words like "DIY kit" or "induction heater kit" in descriptions and just the weird names of the device. But good to know and mums the word. @Andreaerdna, check out some of...

LOL, yeah, Trump's head may not be the best choice for everyone, but sure felt good stuffing him in. :D They can be removed as is just a piece of lacquered paper. The modular is in pretty tight going through the top opening, but can be gently pulled out. There is just enough power cord slack to...

They could do pretty good selling them Bastards! So I'll be contacting the JH perks in the next few days. Have enough to cover the current list. Any new requests will be for next batch. I added a little bonus for this round and likely future batches as well. This JH features Trump's head...
