in looking closely while it is on, either the led is flickering, or is lighting both colors simultaneously. You can see from the photo I posted above there is both a blue and red light stream being emitted.it does appear to be one LED.

I guess a single led could be flickering between both colors.

I wouldn’t bet it’s a ”planned” or programmed light, but it certainly seems to be the cause and cure. It’s a welcome change to fix something without having to send it in lol.

As an update. It seems that the purple lights are if the backend is tightened too much. A very slight loosening of the backend when it happens seems to be fixing the problem. here’s hoping.....

It‘s a noble hope and thought, however, as things stand today, there is a line you have to wait in to send your broken OG Hopper back. They won’t give you an RMA until they are ready for you to send it in (I guess when they’ve sold enough IO’s and stuff to fund the repairs? - er, COVID Is over)...

I grew up using a one hitter, so the heat with the OG has never bothered me. I stopped using the regular mouthpiece when the PFE came out as I wanted the easier, bigger draws. usually used at setting 3.8-5. I have never used it with glass or any other mouthpiece.

I’m not sure a company that treats its customers as disrespectfully as these guys do deserves either our support or patience. Personally, I think their “Survival efforts” look a lot like something else.
