Thanks for the info. What's your torch of choice for the out doors? What was the out door temp for reference?

It's been mentioned before, but worth repeating. @Whiff is providing real gems of advice on this forum and I'm very grateful for all his knowledge and patience. Still on the wait list - maybe Thursday - but when it does arrive I'll be far along the learning curve thanks to Whiff's input. The...

To expand on @dman28 advice, I would let the chamber dry out first. If in a hurry screw the bowl ( empty ) on to the oven and do a dry run to evaporate any remaining moisture. Should be good to go when it cools down. Edit: Be sure that the top hole of the bowl isn't blocked while cooling...

Just take it apart, soak in iso, rinse with water and reassemble. Same as DV.

Not implying that the current Anvil situation is anyway intentional, as I am sure all of John's waking moments are focused on stream lining production and innovating Vestratto offerings, but scarcity drives demand. Offering a great product fuels it even further. Waiting patiently like many others.

Would you prefer if John hired a marketing agency to create photos and videos of perfect smile models with fake ink adoring their Anvil, then pass those cost on to us? Seems to be the common practice for many vape manufactures.

John wrote: "The outer 416 stainless looks very gunmetal grey as opposed to the shiny 316 inner layer." The 416 SS is only used on the outside of the User Edition oven, out of the air intake path. The inside of the oven is medical grade 316 SS, just like the rest of the air path components in...

    Other flame-based devices besides Vapman

If you watch the video it shows with just a flick of a thumb that you can open and close the oven quickly, being able to visually see the progress of the roast. A simple visual cue much like the Vaponic.

    Hippie Pipe

@Abysmal Vapor Agreed! It seems to be acting as a heat shield, keeping the wood from smouldering or is it just for looks? Wonder if it can be removed with out effecting the stability of the unit?

    Hippie Pipe

The big negative on this vape is the difficulty of easily seeing the small view window and hence easily combusting. Heating at the tip as originally suggested seems to be the culprit. The jury is out on the carbon fibre sleeve. Looks like heating it more like a DV instead of all the heat...

    Other flame-based devices besides Vapman

Looks like heating it more like a DV instead of all the heat directed towards the end, reduces the chance of combustion considerably. Being able to instantly view the progress of the roast as the video shows would be a good way to gauge progress, much like a Vaponic. My vape budget is stretched...

Thanks for the very detailed tutorial! Don't have mine yet, but this will definitely reduce the learning curve for me. Question: What factors do grind and packing play in the torch time or quality/thickness of vapor extracted? Are all the above times with a light pack? Thanks.

What about the much maligned Hippy Pipe? Still plan on picking one up as a collectors piece.

Here's what John posted in the forum. "As stated before optimum heating time is about 35 - 38 seconds when the torch is pointed at the groove between the oven proper and the CopperBlock thermal reservoir. Adjust flame intensity and distance to be 30 seconds heating the oven wall, 45 seconds...

John wrote: "The Helix chamber adds more conduction into the mix so the higher portion in the helix design makes contact with the oven, its very easy to ride the line with the helix so be careful when trying to do so. In the end the helix chamber is just a way to add more conduction into the mix...

    Anvil Ordering & Shipping

I apologize if you think the last rant comment was directed to you, it wasn't. I quoted your post specifically to explain what the “Electronic information submitted by shipper” meant and the current CP situation to forum members. The rant comment was directed to others less civil. I understand...

    Anvil Ordering & Shipping

“Electronic information submitted by shipper” means Vestratto notified Canada Post to pick up the parcel, doing all that they can to get the Anvil in your hands as quickly as possible. John has ZERO control as to when they actually do that. John has ZERO control when it's picked up if it sits in...

    Roffu vs GTS

Convection vapes offer better flavor through out a session than a conduction vape like a DV or IQ2. However, inhaling hot, dry vapour using the DTL method leaves my throat irritated and sore, hence one reason I prefer MTL. Own several water rigs that cool and moisturize the vapour nicely. But in...

Thanks for the reply. I wasn't very clear, as my question was concerning the screen in the bowl. Seems like it would be difficult to remove with out a slot available, as there is no way to push it out, only pry it out. Maybe a 90 degree bent wire that's entered through an air intake slot to push...
