Was thinking one of my wind proof triple torches would do the job for out door use when the Anvil arrives. Reconsidering that maybe a wind proof pen torch with precise flame tip might be a better choice. How many torches are to many?:hmm:

@3l3tric Big thanks for the detailed 'how to' instructions for creating more thermal mass on a DV cap. Just plunked down big bucks for an Anvil yesterday to create what your method seems to achieve at a fraction of the cost. Love my DV's and will be pursing this further. :tup:

What's your methods to achieve a joint like experience as that's what I'm looking for. Being able to pass it around between combustion friends would be a big plus. Besides a fine grind do you use a tight/med pack, heat on a certain part of the oven, for so many seconds, an X sized flame? Mine...

Was considering buying extras spirals when I'm called, on the off chance another might fit in. Any thought as to whether it provides any cooling benefits when used natively? The spiral intercooler in the Simrell line up cool really well.

Doesn't sound right at all! Still waiting for mine, but I'd trouble shoot first by removing the bowl and see if air flow changes. If it does then you know the culprit. If it doesn't continue working your way through the built. Might want to watch @Whiff dissasembly/assembly video first to...
