Either pump is more then enough for what we are trying to achieve. 15, 50 , or heck even 500 microns of absolute vaccum capability is plenty for our application. I would say look at which pump is easier to maintain, rebuild, part availability, price, warranty, and durability that kind of stuff...

You can always throttle the pump, so I think you will be fine.
