To be honest, not to sound like a fanboy, I don't think VC would risk offering a full refund if its a POS and there is no QC. He'd lose more $$ with refunds than he aims to make off referrals/affiliate fees. Of course, there is always a chance that the company goes under/gets bought out and QC...

The point I was trying to make is they are screwing their own customers over by pricing it too high, and with a proprietary connection, but seeing as how you can get a 6 amp charger for $10 shipped off amazon they are relatively cheap to build in china. Probably $2 shipping, $.5 fee from amazon...

Something that costs maybe a dollar to make will be $50 retail? oof...
