I think I get what you guys are talking about with the SH. To get the hit started harder, I start with a couple little cigar puffs. It's the same technique that kicks up vapor production on the Milaana and LSV and FF2. It makes the vapor denser, quicker.

What kind of routine maintenance are you guys doing on your SIC dishes? Has anyone had any issues with breaks, chips, stains, other? With the coil at 666, I've just been q-tipping - but I know that q-tipping wouldn't be enough at the same temp on a quartz banger.
