Right, I do think there is convection but on a DV I would think that the chamber being heated to conduction temps means that any convection taking place during the hit is only a fraction of the total heating, making it a conduction-heavy hybrid device.

My thickest hits have always come from beginning the hit doing mouth pulls with the airport closed, then feathering it for a few seconds, then finishing the hit with the airport open and a lung pull. It does. I went from an Omnivap to a Simrell stem. It was the piece that made me realize I can daily drive the DV forever. A titanium DV + Simrell stem is a great value if you're gonna daily drive it for the rest of your life and be so satisfied that it kills your VAS, as it did for me.
