I did look at these real close ;] They have some brains behind the sensors.

I'd be very interested to take one of the wands apart to see what sensors are sensing @thunderstealer1337 . One is to make sure the coil doesn't get too hot that shows up in pix. How well can the wand maintain a constant temp of the vapcap? Thank you very much for the pix @rvarick - Flite...

Induction Heater MAD Heaters - Innovative Dynavap Accessories

I get it, sure, a single cell would be less the space... but the form-factor! A cylinder is a tough sell for compact unless the structure is cylindrical. This is what Jeff did with Flite. he cut the battery weight in half and reduced the overall formfactor without changing the internals. To...

Fluxer Heaters, induction heaters for Dynavap

My FireFlite is winning the day over the HotShot. Simple calculus now; risk of confiscation calls for the HotShot where safe at-home use is definitely the Flite. HS wins on some ergo achievements such as the chamber cover and USB charging [w/ the right adapter] but the performance I can...

    Dynavap VapCap

@rvarick - could you post a pic of the Wand and Flite side by side? I'm really curious as to the real size. That would be awesome. I can see the Wands original temp sensing to be interpolation based on a known quantity - the metal in the bangers. The VC's have no consistency and therefore...

Induction Heater MAD Heaters - Innovative Dynavap Accessories

The energy density is still greater in the 18650's. That is where all the engineering efforts have gone. The gap is closing but only a 25% capacity improvement makes 21700 less attractive. 16540.49mm^3 vs. 24245.24mm^3 = ~1.5x the volume. I run 3500mah 10 amp cells on my IH's. The 21700...

Real-time draws is what we've all been after whether you know it or not @RogueGuy . The tame profile of the wand is what makes it possible. The experience can land on both sides of the coin. Lighter molecules seem to readily merge with heavier ones and while you may get the medicinal benefit...

    Making Draw Tubes... Flower Quince?

Of course my phone camera sucks @Planck but it is notably different than other pieces I've imaged. I can normally get some pretty detailed stuff with my aging Samsung phone camera but this definitely plays with the light. I do have a better camera I might have to charge up. If that doesn't do...

    Making Draw Tubes... Flower Quince?

There is an interesting thing when trying to image FQ - it always comes out over-exposed. I don't get it.

VapCap Induction Heater for Desktop and in Car Use

These are very fast chargers. I suspect the charger will get warm before the HS. Be careful of the internal BMS/Charger wiring as it includes solid copper wires. Don't pull on the battery leads to get it apart. The included j-hook is a tool for disassembly.

VapCap Induction Heater for Desktop and in Car Use

I took mine apart and 'squared it up' a bit. I also made the charge port hole a bit bigger so whatever motion the internal have are matched with the hole.

DIY Induction Heater Builds and References

Those are both very loaded questions - the first is easiest; I used one of the cheap digital power supplies w/ a meter on eBay that has all kind of functionality - one being Measuring watt hours (WH). I would set the voltage to 12.6V (3S) and charge to full - remove the charger - zero the...

DIY Induction Heater Builds and References

@webtroter - The cap actually shields the tip from interaction with the induction heater. If it is 10% involved, it is too much. Hotter caps really do make a difference in rip density. It comes with challenges too, of course - much easier to combust.

DIY Induction Heater Builds and References

I did a custom 3D printed 18350 case. 1200mah (or thereabout) is having a great run in my Flites and home built. These are great for size. I tried 14500 and they suck! They cannot handle the load no matter what the rating. They unbalance within a few weeks. Then you have Lipo packs in all...

So much for thinking DV is improving LOL My '21-M is unusable. The CCD just falls out; they screwed the cap; and cap was dirty as hell. Then the '19-M has a '20 cap. Seriously? Hard to collect a '19-M when it has mismatched numbers.
