Oh, that would be normal. The VapCap never triggers the internal temperature sensors of the Wand.

You might be up for loosing one more turn from the coil, shortening the wire. I suspect you are running in the sub-40 watt range with your cap. A current reading would be useful but if it takes 25 seconds and you want 15, then removing a turn would be prudent. Love where this is going. Great...

Induction Heater MAD Heaters - Innovative Dynavap Accessories

Haven't tried MVS but Revolve is a beast for cooling. I would rate the vape path at 5" which is a long ass stem.

Where did you hear that @Riik ? That doesn't sound right. With a DV is doesn't sense temp but with their cups I am quite certain it is doing some kind of interpolation.

    Ispire Wand, enail&vaporizer

Yesterday we lost George's [DV founder] support for the Wand during insta/TeaTime. It lacked 'control' without the bottom and it is an 'aweful big coil' <paraphrased from recollection>. I love the variable heat option with the unimpeded chamber of the Wand. Easy to judge the depth, specially...

You might have something there. One could try a conventional vaping coil or power resistor in parallel to a ZVS. The coil/resistor should allow maximum resistance the mod allows. When the idle power of the IH kicks in, the power will be shared with the coil. It has to reach about 7 volts...

    Ispire Wand, enail&vaporizer

@David Root - The domestic (US) version has batteries but no flower option, so no flower cup. Also, my domestic version carb cap doesn't fit. I bought an EU version, for the green light of all things, and it came with both cups and a switch on the wand for flower. Didn't come with their nice...

Some of my most memorable moments are when friends asked me to try something that is obviously dumb to do. Yet we talk about it all the time.

I'd love to see a 1S solution work. That 15-20A draw has to be managed at the converter. You can do 2S without an inverter. Try removing 3 loops and the associated wire from the coil. A 7 turn coil should make for a good starting point for a 2S heater. The coil will get a little warmer but...

@badbee 's got it right. A single cell IH would be simple to charge/change but the minimum input voltage for the IH is 5V, and at that, it doesn't put out much power. You do need a 100W or so boost converter to bring that power level up. You need about 50-70 watts of output. The IH would...

    Ispire Wand, enail&vaporizer

@LesPlenty - curiosity got the better of me. I reset the switch in my domestic version and now the EU version is open for analysis. The concentrate cup pulls 8.3 amps at ~8V (I can only read one cell) and I am reading a power of 33.2W so double that to ~66 watts. This confirms that the Wand is...

    Selling above retail value

@acstorfer - I get it. Time is a commodity that others should be mindful of. I'd rather gift to a worthy person than take one red cent from ungrateful one.

    Ispire Wand, enail&vaporizer

My supply only goes to 10 amps. I suspect it will rail the output. The cap pulled 5-1/4 amps. Remember this is a 2S arrangement which boosts the current requirement to meet the desired wattage. The cap ended up being 42 watts draw on 2S at around 8V. 80 watts at 8 volts is 10 amps. Now...

    Dynavap VapCap

Dynavap would have never remained in my small arsenal had I not figured out how to make the '18 M flow vape better. Once that was solved, everything else was DV. I can see how a '20 M could be freeing. I can see how a blem '19 M could be disappointing. The only thing that resembles an...
