Probably better off buying a water pipe whip from Magic Flight and using the mini stems that they include in them - pretty sure they are glass. Would be a good addition to a Vapman arsenal anyway if you don't like to shoehorn the Vapman into your piece.

Also make sure not to put too much in the stem, I wouldn't load any higher than the rim of the basket screen. If you are packing it all the way to the end of the SS tip then that is a sure-fire way to combust, especially with a fine grind.

Could it be you are grinding too fine? If it's too fine the air won't be able to get through and would just keep heating the herb till it combusts. You probably want to grind/chop your bud so it is like little flakes if that makes sense. You need the air to be able to flow through and around...

I love my MFLB flavour even more than the UD - convection tastes pure but I like the roasted flavour that conduction adds. Unfortunately the site I bought my Vapman off does not sell the lighter so I have to source one locally to avoid long shipping :hmm:.
