This took some time to figure out unfortunately... On Gen1 the end of the spiral is tapered, I was hoping this will be enough so it won't lock in too bad as that's where most of the residue / reclaim build up is. Unfortunately it's creeping up much further and going around the airport as well...

I've started redesigning it for 2x21700 a couple weeks ago, however I also started working on a new product shortly after. This new product will need full compatibilty with the IH so I'll have to wait for a prototype before I can continue... which means delays once again. :(

As @OGablogian said it's because of the reclaim unfortunately, it really glues the tip in place after a while. When it's clean you should be able to fit and remove the tip no problem. Heating it up a bit is best if you don't want to clean it, otherwise just soak it with the tip. The Gen 2 will...

No unfortunately, the new screens will only work with the gen2's legs at the end of the helix. It'll click into place so you can pull it out with the cooling unit. Yes - the new ones will be 12mm diameter and hopefully have some extra grip as well

Not anymore for this round unfortunately, beta is over a while ago and the release model is in production already. Only way to get a beta now is to leave a review on the website, I'll pick quite a few customers from there, hopefully next week. ;) Smile and Folk will have stock in Thailand

Yes on the Gen 2 beta it's too short. On the Gen 1 it goes in fully, but the "plug" at the end is not as wide as it will be on the Gen 2 so you can rotate it without friction. You'll need to pull up the MP about 4mm and then it'll click into an o-ring groove where you can rotate it freely...
