My Mi is the original model where the glass is not recessed, so I wonder if that makes a difference in how it seats. I just examined the connection closely using the 18mm stem, and it sits on the screen even without the metal cap. The walls of each piece touch, but the joint doesn't seat. Just...

Same fitting problems here as well. Still playing with the various setups, but the loose fit in all pieces is a bit disappointing. I am still NOT sorry I picked up the kit -- we may find a good fit yet, and it's still a good deal for the price.

Yeah, the US are definitely the harder joints to find. Here's a good image someone (can't remember who exactly or I would give direct credit) shared awhile back that provides a visual representation of the difference. All three are 18mm, but you can see the difference in length.
